When I run a query from Teradata administrator, I get column titles unless I add a comment to the front of the query. Can you explain why a comment line suppresses titles?

I'm using the 3.3.0.5 ODBC driver.

     --  comment line
     select * from dbc.dbcinfo
     returns:

          RELEASE     V2R.05.01.0x.0x
          VERSION     05.01.0x.0x


     select * from dbc.dbcinfo
     returns:

          InfoKey     InfoData
          RELEASE     V2R.05.01.0x.0x
          VERSION     05.01.0x.0x
