Short Description: NetVault log displays "Scheduler Exited Unexpectedly, Abandoning Job" error, followed by multiple drive channel errors

Condition/Symptom:
Customer may see a backup job fail with multiple " had channel error" entries reported in the binary logs. These errors often result due to the NetVault services shutting down while backup job(s) are active.

In the Job Management display, the "Run Status" for the job is "Scheduler aborted whilst job running."

Probable Cause:
The source error is, in fact, "Scheduler Exited Unexpectedly, Abandoning Job" followed by "Media Manager Stopping" entry. The "Media Manager Stopping" entry can only be viewed when the logs are filtered with Warning Level set to 'All'.

Solution:
If the NetVault Server is shutdown during backup jobs, all backup jobs will terminate. Ensure that all backup jobs have stopped before shutting down NetVault services and/or restarting the node.
