Yep. ANSI style comments at the start of a query was a known problem. Not sure when it was fixed but it works OK with TD 12.0.0.5 and ODBC 13.0 (I don't have 12.0 to test with at the moment I'm afraid.)

We also used to get blank headers from

     SEL*FROM ...      (no spaces around the '*')

(This was fixed in ODBC 12.0)
