What version of odbc are you using - per 3.6.0.6 has an issue if you use -- for comments in your sql

i.e.

     - hello

     sel * from dbc . dbcinfo ;


         A               B              < -note no column names
     RELEASE    V2R.06.02.02.35
     VERSION    06.02.02.34


     /* hello */                                /

     select * from dbc . dbcinfo ;

     InfoKey    InfoData
     RELEASE  V2R.0x.0x.0x.xx
     VERSION  0x.0x.0x.xx
