Hi Lilian:

Here what I think might be happening:

The normal output data type from AVG is float. As far as I have seen, it is the only place where the data type coming out is not the same as the data type going into it.

On the second one, you are converting/forcing the float to a decimal attribute and getting more accuracy with the .25 versus the .00.
