Teradata announced a solution for multi-temperature data last year:

The message seems to be that they will help you deal with deployment of various workload management tools/techniques whilst you use higher capacity disks.

There doesn't seem to be any new technology in there as such.

Have I interpreted this correctly?

Anyone have any more up-to-date news?
