Currently the only roundabout way is to find the distinct values on the table and match the number against that produced from the help stats command.

For some important enterprise tables it is a general strategy to use an indicator field to be flipped whenever the data is loaded and flipped back as soon as the stats are collected on the same (after the 10% increase in volume). This indicator can be directly used to validate stats being current or stale on the table.

As noted in the manuals stats need to be refreshed only if the data changes amount to 10% volumes or more and so the stats could date back in time for some relatively slow loads (where incremental changes are not many).
