I have recently derived the Table DDL directly from the system tables - but I wouldn't recommend it - so unless you have no other option, I'd pursue getting it back from SHOW TABLE.

If you really need the System Catalogue DDL (and are prepared to reveal yourself from Anom) I'll dig it out for you.
