Guys,

I have got a requirement where I have to generate a unique value when inserting into a column/table.

IDENTITY column can be a good solution but we need to reset the value every time a new INSERT works on the table.

My table is an intermediate table and gets deleted daily and new data is inserted.

So is it possible to reset value of IDENTITY column so it awlways start with 1.

Any suggestion in this regard would be grealy appreciated.
