Sirisha,

When a user starts a session in a network connection the ClientId is taken from the LogonSource during the logon process. LogonSource is not parsed from a channel connect nor is it parsed if the "new" format is not used.

In CLIV2 4.06.02, in 2001 or 2002, the LogonSource format was changed to the "new" format. If the LogonSource comes from a network attached process and it is in the new format there will be a check for the ClientID. Otherwise, there will not.
