Many thanks for this although if you wouldn't mind, I could do with a couple of points clarifying.

When you say you assume Roles for administrating the Grants have been created, do you just mean that they are in place, as I don't think you can use Roles to administer Grants (no 'With Grant Option' permitted) ?

Also, not sure how your stored procedure would work - are you saying the Stored Procedure includes making Grants to the Security Administrators, prior to granting the required access to a Role (presumably this is the part passed in parameters), or that only the execute stored procedure privilege would be required.
