No, the bottom line is:
1) COLLECT STATISTICS is currently considered DDL, which means it must be the last or only statement in a transaction.
2) Some future release of Teradata might include changes to allow COLLECT STATISTICS to be considered DML. It's good that someone is
thinking about it, but there are no promises that it will be in TD13.x.
