To do capacity planning you need historical performance metrics (such as that provided by resusage) over some meaningful period. If the
historical CPU metrics you are interested in are captured into a database table construct then is usually a fairly simple matter to run a query
from Excel to bring some subset of the historical metric data into the Excel environment for further analysis, such as charting. Is this what you
are looking to do?
