I think some of your issues will be resolved in Teradata 12... I know, for instance, that they will add the ability to have error tables for
INSERT/SELECT operations that will allow your process to continue on and let you set the threshold for failures... And from a speed perspective,
SQL & Fastload/Multiload are getting closer with every release.
