Hi,

you have to see what type of queries are bounced against the tables, once you are in production mode.

One thing I can recommend anyway:

Provide a database view available for the end users, which is "forcing" the optimizer to use the SJI. ( Users tend to "cast" on join values, etc, ... and destroy any chance for the optimizer to find the best way - in this case to use the JI )
