Well I think, the below select only works if the ODBC DateTime Format is defined as AIA or III,

We can set the date|Time|Timestamp attributes to either ANSI (A) or INTEGER (I) or a combination of both.

For the ones defined as "AAA" , where Date, Time and Timestamp are defined to be of ANSI-compatible string types, the below query gives an error saying

"5407: Invalid operation on an ANSI Datetime or Interval value."
