Subj:   Re: How kill the Sessions using BTEQ

From:   Wagh, Mohan Maheshwar

Dear Srinivas,

You are NOT ALLOWED to kill sessions using T'Data SQL. That rules out the usage of BTEQ for terminating sessions.

You can use 'Database Window' or 'cnssupv'(CNS-Supervisor) to use one of the following T'Data utilities...

1> Gateway Global Utility (Start xgtwglobal---->KILL SESSION)

2> CNS-Supervisor Command (ABORT SESSION)

Actually, You SHOULD use Teradata Manager, but you don't have access to it. In that case I would suggest that you should not try to use 'cnssupv' nor 'database window' and contact the support-DBA for the same.

Thanking you,

regards,

Mohan Wagh.
