I think it's just a long version of the same partitioning expression, with no functional difference.

Also, I think you should get rid of the NO RANGE in the expression. Otherwise I believe Teradata will move rows from your dropped partition to the NO RANGE partition, and therefore making the operation a lot slower than it could be.
