This was reported last week I believe as a problem that appeared to be related to the use of the F-Protect anti-virus on the XPpro/SP2/Teradata
windows installation. The problem was resolved in that case by the need for a complete re-install of windows and Teradata - not elegant but
apparently it worked.
It would be very useful to know if you too are running the F-Protect anti-virus software.
