You definately dont want to change/drop the User names themselves (what I think the previous response was thinking of) but changing the account should not matter as long as you dont give them a lower priority than they currently have.

Apart from setting the priority and any ASE codes, the account string is intended to be a user identifier - basically just a comment that has meaning to you as the customer - not to the DBS itself.

Just to be on the safe side I would try it on a test system first rather than on productiuon though. (for User DBC at least)
