Hi,

Very common rates are to have Logging set to 600 seconds (10 minutes). Additionally, you probably wouldn't have all the tables enabled as normal. The ones that you typically want enabled all the time are SPMA and SVPR (may be make this summary mode if you have lots of AMPs or are really concerned about disk space), you'll need IPMA if you are using PMON.

Also, set up a regular housekeeping job to move data from the real DBC tables to a history database on a regular basis.
