Here's the developer's response...

Generally speaking data collection (not just PriSched) should not cause perf issues at 60 seconds or longer intervals. Of course, the shorter the interval, the faster the tables grow.

It depends on how closely they want to watch what is happening.

I would say 1 to 10 mins (60-600 sec) is a good starting point.
