     ALTER TABLE t1 MODIFY PRIMARY INDEX
     PARTITION BY CASE_N

This only works for an empty table.

If the table is populated you get an error message

Failure 3732
The facility of altering the partitioning of a non-empty table in this case has not been implemented yet.
