Character set Latin will allow any single byte characters - not just 7 bit ASCII, so 'A0' is perfectly valid.

Are you sure these characters are not line feeds - '0A' - though? (Quite likely if the data was loaded from Unix. If it came from Windows it would be '0D0A'.)
