You cannot add or anything else with TIME or CURRENT_TIME. For instance, it makes no sense to add 2am to 2pm. Instead, you need to define the INTERVAL that you want as HOUR TO SECOND. Then you can add the two intervals to get an answer of the combined amount of time. Therefore, 2 hours plus 2 hours equals 4 hours.
