Subj:		UPSERT Using Straight SQL

I am trying to update / insert into a table from another table. Can I do this using an UPDATE (UPSERT FORM)???

So far I have not found a way to do this. It appears that the UPSERT form is looking for a parameter file to load from and does not support a derived table and an INSERT / SELECT.

I know this works in TPUMP and MULTILOAD but I want to do this with Teradata... Do I need BTEQ and if so would that work internal to the system or export and import?

I hope that I am simply doing something wrong and those much smarter than I have the proper syntax to ease my woes...

I will keep at it... Please feel free to let me know that it cannot be done...
