Is there any way we can release / clean the memory. For eg. I kill a long running process through SQL Assistant .. it has been seen that the SQL Assistant shows that the process is killed but the complete server becomes very slow or it doesnt respond.

If the "long running process" was a Insert/Update/Delete there's a rollback which usually uses lots of resources and lasts 1.5 to 2.5 times as long as the original transaction.

Is there any command or way that this can be taken care.

In V2R5.1 you can abort rollbacks using Recovery Manager, before you'll have to ask your NCR support to do that. But this makes the data in your table inconsistent.

Maybe you should give us more details about the "process" ;-)
