Hi All,

I am creating a volatile table using

     CREATE VOLATILE TABLE A AS(

           SELECT Statement
           ) with data on commit preserve rows;

When I run the individual Select statement it takes only 1 minute to execute but when i run with CREATE VOLATILE TABLE it has taken 7 HOURS to complete the query. Can anyone please explain the reason behinf this. I am running this through a BTEQ session and SELECT Sttmt involves many joins involving fact and Look UP tables. Does Indexes have anything to do with CREATE VOLATILE TABLE sttmt..pls rescue me folks
