You seem to be compiling with "cc -K PIC -G btnfyext.c -o btnfyext" but using the notify command .SET NOTIFY HIGH EXIT btnfyext.so; It should be .SET NOTIFY HIGH EXIT btnfyext; It worked fine for me on our Solaris box when I tried it out.
