Subj:   Re: Netvault Backup for UNIX

From:   Bergman, Ysbrand

Hi,

It's a bit tough to tell you what you need exactly, since this depends on a lot of factors.

For a starter you will need:

NetVault Server (Workgroup/Datacenter/Enterprise)

NetVault Teradata APM

NetVault smartclient license

NetVault slot license (When used in conjunction with a tape library)

After you've configured everything correctly and created a trigger based backup job, with a trigger name "my_trigger". During the job creation NetVault will actually create the right arcjobs for you.

You can start it using:

/opt/netvault6/util/nvtrigger -wait my_trigger

Hope this helps.....
