Hi, folks,

I couldn't find this in the archives, so I'll ask a two-part question to which I'm pretty sure the answers are "No" and "Of course not":

Given a system known as BOX:

Can utilities which require COP entries in /etc/hosts use fully qualified entries such as BOXCOPn.domain.name?

Can such utilities do DNS lookup to find and use fully qualified names such as BOXCOPn.domain.name?

Maybe I'm wrong,
