Recently some advanced customer DBAs have firmly suggested to me that unused space should reside as part of database DBC and
should go as high as 40%. The suggestion to give spool reserve to DBC gives the opportunity to share Transient Journal space and
spool space for more effective space utilization.
Some people disagree with both these points of view, so these thoughts are offered for the purpose of sharing new thinking.
