Hi,

In 5.1 you can write your you User defined function for Is_Numeric(). In Fact I wrote one.

I don't know if posting it in this post is appropriate. Maybe once 5.1 goes GCA we can add it to the archive here on Teradata Forum as an example of how to write UDF's for Teradata.

I will have to clear it with my manager and various other people.
