There's no built in replication feature within Teradata.

I've worked with a couple of sites who use Journalling to maintain a slave system (they do it to meet DR requirements). Basically;

-- journal all updates on the master,

-- archive journals to tape from the master,

-- restore journals to slave,

-- rollforward on slave (repeat ad nauseum !)

One site has both Teradata systems connected to the same MVS image and their jobs are all scheduled, they have very little manual intervention.

There's a lot of detail underlying the basic process above. What do you want to know?
