Subj:   Alternating Account Strings via Microstrategy Logon

From:   Claybourne Barrineau

All,

Currently, we have mulitple Microstrategy applications on a single Microstratey Intelligent Server. An individual user can log into multiple applications. We would like for Microstrategy to alter a user's Teradata logon account string according to the application that the user is logged into (for instance, alter a user's priority from 'Medium' to 'High' when the user is logged into an application which generates tactical queries.) We cannot get this working. Microstrategy doesn't seem to be able to dynamically alter a user's Teradata logon account string. Does anyone know of a work-around (short of buying a seperate intelligent server for 'high' prioity applications or setting up seperate IDs for seperate Microstrategy application)?

Thanks,

Clay
