Yes, my code is wrong. It would also pick out cases of several pairs of numbers that are consecutive for the same account, not just bunches of 5. Dieter has shown how to do it properly, by doing a second OLAP function on the rows that are in a sequence of at least 2.

Thanks, I've learnt something.

I was intrigued by the comment on MDIFF in V2R5. I'll have to get hold of the manual. Does anyone have experience of problems?
