Actually, if the design of your table is stable, then you can probably just use the LASTALTERTIMESTAMP=A0field in DBC.TVFIELDS (or the view DBC.COLUMNS).

The column LASTALTERTIMESTAMP will be updated when the column in question is either changed by an ALTER TABLE, COMMENT or COLLECT STATISTIC statement. If the only thing that is happening to the specific column is a COLLECT STATISTIC statement, then LASTALTERTIMESTAMP can be said to contain a timestamp for the last COLLECT statement.
