Thanks Dwight. I have the batch bteq in windows. It seems a little complex to do. If I copy the code below into my perl script will it run? Remember, I have a file that contains 1000 SQL statements. The file is created by my perl script. After the file-creation, the perl script should run the SQL file by calling BTEQ (Windows). I thought I could run it as a command- line option by calling the 'system' command from perl. Where do I give the user-id/password for BTEQ to connect to the Teradata DB? Thanks again?
