Could you please provide more details about your installation?
In general, you start by "creating the environment" , which can be extremely simple if you are running a few nodes to very complex
if you are running a very heterogeneous and fault-tolerant environment.
In our case (I can not disclose much more) our sysadmins are very much high-performance aware and work closely with the
application and operations support people.
Also, take a look a the Sysadmin Guide, that is a good starting point. I hope this helps.
