With V2R5 Teradata can now compress multiple values - up to 255 per column. So you can do the same thing James suggested looking at the top 1, 3, 7, 15, 31, 63, 127, or 255 values realizing that these use from 1 to 8 presence bits per row (all rows) respectively to evaluate the tradeoff.
