Julie,

I believe that for the most part an ACCESS lock will allow you to get to the table. I'm not certain, but I think there is still one part of Multiload processing (during clean-up at the end) which places an exclusive lock but no doubt others will correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you'll be safe providing you retrieve data that has already been loaded. You may find your read job has a short wait for a data block, but I doubt if you'd notice it.
