Hi, folks,

I've got an issue in my lap by default, and am not certain I've come up with the proper way to handle it.

What is the best way to account for application usage?

We have users running multiple applications, and I'd like to be able to track the resources they use by application. My thought is to give them a separate DSN for each application and put an appropriate account string in each DSN.

Is this an overly naive approach? As a prappliduction support DBA (production, application--what's the difference, eh?), I don't usually get involved in architecture. Maybe there's an obvious and better solution that I don't know.
