NCR has a utility called NPARC that moves data between Teradata platforms at a blazing rate of speed using LAN connections. Ask
your friendly Teradata sales person about it - it is a contracted service.
We've used it sucessfully a few times now, and it handily outperforms Teradata1 -> ESCON -> tape -> ESCON -> Teradata2 data
transfers.
