You must cast the data as a CHAR field, if you don't put CHAR (xxx) at the end of the column, it is a VARCHAR with indicator bits. Especially (but not only) since you are using TRIM.

That should fix it.

I think you can also try the VARTEXT format in the .EXPORT statement, but I haven't tried it.
