Gary,
I've never seen it documented anywhere, but my experience is that it is the columns requested that will be in spool. That is not
to say that you can easily calculate the size of your spool by multiplying number of rows by size of columns. If there's aggregation
or table joins, they both have a big impact on size of spool. I've seen cases where spool ended up being 3 times what I expected due
to all the joins and aggregation.
