As a Teradata/occasional DB2 DBA, my department supports both environments and I have been ask to come up with a list of "things"
for which RDBMS should be selected for a particular application. Or when to use Teradata vs. DB2 OS/390. Some of them I can think
of is size of database. Is it a warehouse type application, mostly read-only? Does it need to access other current Teradata tables?
etc.
Anybody got anything else they can offer?
