Hi Mike,

www.info.ncr.com/temp/2436062A14153.pdf

OS 390 with USS platform is also supported, according to the pdf file above, the security to run jobs in unix is described as:

"UNIX Security
UNIX security is the familiar and normal UNIX security implementation where a superuser has complete authority within the system. For UNIX security sites, users should be able to run the Teradata WB infrastructure without making special provisions. Under UNIX security, authorized Teradata WB users can execute Teradata WB jobs based on the permissions specified in the file /etc/pipc/hosts. This is the normal default security method followed on a UNIX MP-RAS, Solaris SPARC, and HP-UX platforms.

However, only the superuser may start the PIPC daemon.

. On MP-RAS and Solaris SPARC, this must be done using the script /etc/init.d/pipc as follows:

# /etc/init.d/pipc start

On HP-UX, the s cript /sbin/init.d/pipc is used to start the PIPC daemon as follows:

# /sbin/init.d/pipc start

The daemons start by default when the system is entering the multiuser level.

Thus, the command to start (or stop) the daemon would not normally be used."

There are descriptions about win platform and os390 platform.

Thank you.
