Mike,

The W2K/NT Admin client is mandatory to run the Teradata extension for NetBackup. Without it you are NOT able to run any Teradata backups.

You can do all core functionality (File system backups, media management etc) that is available in NetBackup using the Java Gui or the Windows admin client. For the Teradata extensions you will need the admin client

(either the GUI or the command line).

This is the way Veritas has designed their database extensions.
