Ganesh,

We're doing the same here using Genio from Hummingbird and Teradata. As Jason mentioned, there are several advantages of using Genio against BTEQ scripts (depending on the environment), like reuse of transformation/validation functions, impact analysis (very important), tracking changes, version control, etc.. However, I believe that the most important feature here is the ability to show the Business users how their rules are implemented (with graphics and basic pseudocode) instead of using SQL.

I realize that most of these features can be implemented in a Unix environment using different tools, Genio already has these features incorporated.
