Ganesh,
I use this same approach at my site for ETL. Though we use Genio tool from Hummingbird to manage the Fastloads and SQL
transformations to move data from staging to production. So the performance is the same as below but the development and maintenance
time using Genio is significantly improved over hand writing SQL, BTEQ, and processing scripts. If you are still evaluating tools, I
highly recommend Genio, especially for a Teradata environment.
